The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. Some of them have excellent mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free cleaning.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other models and makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.
It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one motion. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as effective. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well however this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home, identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean and is also quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen odors.
Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.
The device comes with a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of smart features. It's crucial to note that it incurs regular costs, such as mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three months.
The robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. It has a power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning session. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which has microfiber pads. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of collecting pet hair. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some lovely jingles that signal that it was in the process of working towards its goal.
The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't keep multiple maps. budget robot vacuum can be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it comes with some distinctive features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning job, recall the robot, or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets caught in a blockage, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its app.
Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxy models.
